SPLITTING
BREAKS
Many drivers are committing an offence by not
taking their breaks in the correct manner.
Latest legislation states:
You can no longer take three 15 minute
breaks, or take a 30 minute break first and 15 minutes second.
If you do wish to split your breaks, you must
take a minimum of 15 minutes first, and then a minimum of 30
minutes as a second break.
You are risking a fine if stopped by VOSA,
and persistent offenders are risking points on their licence.
