Where did it begin
Formed in September 2006 by Tony Osborne, Mike Williams, John
O'Brien, and Frank Willis, all ex Iceland drivers. Having
been made redundant by Iceland the company was formed, although at
the original eary discussions about forming a business attended by
at least 15 ex Iceland drivers. It was left to the final
meeting to which only 5 people attended, Geoff Bowden bowing out at
that meeting, Frank left the business after a couple of weeks and
John O'Brien departed after two years after selling his shares to
Tony, leaving Tony Osborne and Mike Williams as the only two
shareholders in the business.

We are currently recruiting drivers on a gauranteed wages basis, if
you commit to us we will commit to you, working any 5 from 7, for
this commitment we will gaurantee you a wage between £370 pounds
and £480 pounds per week. more if a weekend day is worked.
Barnsley office opens- 26/03/2012 Our
office in Barnsley opened for business, Run by Chris Bunce
(Director) to support our existing clients in the area, we will
develop our business further in this area and expand our customer
base.
Cheza Joins the team - Cheryl Foden has joined
Expert Drivers as Office Manager, with a wealth of experience in
managing drivers Cheryl is already making a difference. Formerly
employed by a number of top companies including Iceland foods and
Corus, Cheryl has joined the business to help develop and expand
our customer commitment and driver controls.
Expert Drivers have diversified in to
Distribution - We currently hold a operators licence for
two vehicles and one trailer, We are presently operating a 12 tonne
Mercedes Atego curtain sided vehicle, operating under our trading
name of Expert Distribution UK Limited. Posted 20/07/10.
Tachographs - Elaine Robinson joins the team as
the Tachograph Compliance Officer. Posted August
05/08/10.
Expert Drivers have rolled out our professionally
delivered CPC courses - Courses take eight hours including
breaks, lunch is provided for each candidate along with tea and
coffee breaks. Posted 22/01/2011.
Cheryl Foden to become a director - Given the
dedication to the cause Cheryl has been offered a directorship at
Expert Drivers, given that the business has doubled in the last
twelve months since Cheryl joined, in recognition of Cheryl's
efforts and the commitment she has shown to the business she has
been offered a directorship. Posted 25/06/2011.
New Transport Planner - Joanne Clements joins
the team as a Transport Planner following Cheryl's promotion.

Sad News - Pete Morrison, one of our regular
night workers, passed away on 26th July 2011 in the early hours.
Pete was working nights and had been to Swindon. Pete was
heading home and was involved in an accident involving a bridge
over the motorway, on the M5 near Halesowen; no other vehicle was
involved. Pete died at the scene, and will be greatly missed by all
who knew him. The cause of the accident is unknown.
