Our Commitment

 

Driver Expectations

Drivers should act as Ambassadors for our customers and at all times adhere to our dress code whilst working in a courteous and professional manner.  They must also abide by the EU Working Time Directive and Driver Hours Regulations.

  We request our customers to inform us if any of our drivers present themselves for work in a manner that does not meet the required standard, jeans and trainers are not what we would call work wear, as our Drivers are given uniform to wear we expect it to be used.

Licence Requirements

All drivers will have a minimum of 2 years driving experience class C+E and a maximum of 6 penalty points (unless agreed otherwise with management).  Driving licenses will be checked for validity on a quarterly basis.

Workplace Inductions

All drivers will attend an induction carried out by a member of our management team to the Expert Drivers Limited working practice.  Before commencing work, our drivers will have already taken our test which includes questions on not just tacho law.  In our interview with our drivers we aim to gather information on their understanding of the W.T.D. and make sure they understand their legal requirements.

Assessment and Training

All drivers will be assessed / retrained in all aspects of their work annually by our Qualified A1 Driving Assessor and will include Health and Safety as this we feel is paramount to us all.
